HUM TUM AND THEM

Hum Tum And Them is the story of two single parents Shiva and Yudi, who have a second chance at love. Their teenage children try to deal with their past and their new lives, while Shiva and Yudi struggle to maintain their relationships.

The web series is the story of a couple looking to start their life afresh, but there is a twist in the story.

Their kids from the previous relationship add uncertainty. It is an unusual love story of a couple who look to leave behind their past.

Shweta Tiwari makes her digital debut with Hum Tum and Them. She is the lead role alongside Akshay Oberoi. The cast includes Bhavin Bhanushali, Aashika Bhatia, Gautam Ahuja, Trupti Khamkar.

Shiva is divorced woman with a 13-year-old daughter, Jahan. Yudi is a father with three children, Aaryan, Ojhas, and Vyoma, who lost his wife to cancer 5 years ago. Shiva is trying to enjoy her new life as an independent, single woman, but her problems just start when her daughter starts blaming her for the divorce. Yudi has enjoyed five years of bachelor life but now his children have re-entered his life and he must deal with their teenage problems. All this, while Shiva and Yudi find love again in each other, but their personal inhibitions as well as the children’s disapproval keep them from truly coming together.

Shiva is all about parenting and responsibility, whereas Yudi is a free-spirited soul who does what he thinks without thinking of its consequences on people around him. How the two characteristically opposite individuals with a similar set of problems meet and form a relationship? Do the children accept their coming together is what the series is all about?

Swetha Tiwari is a treat to watch in the series. She looks like the mom that every kid would want. But, the role offers more to her, and that is where she shines. Swetha Tiwari charmingly and engagingly presents all the various insecurities and patriarchal induced social awkwardness through her character. It is all neatly embedded into her part, so that is also helpful.
